Product Ideas Portal

Got an idea for a new feature? Maybe a tweak to make something work even better? Wish there was an integration with another product to make you even more productive? You've come to the right place.

The Product Ideas Portal lets you submit whatever product feedback you have, good, bad, ugly, and anywhere between.

Want to stay anonymous? Don't worry, no email address or name fields are shared on the public portal. You can create an account which lets you vote on other people's ideas and receive updates when your idea's status changes.

Set global expiry date for Jump Clients

The customer wants to set it globally so the Rep does not have to set it manually as this may be skipped in the process. Especially as they deal with external customers

When Reps pin a jump client they have the option to set an expiry date for the client. Default is never. They would like the ability to globally set an expiry date through a policy for all Reps

To clarify, there are several capabilities that could be considered an "expiry" related to Jump Clients:

    1. Length of time the installer can be used
    2. Length of time not connected to the appliance (offline) before removing (https://ideas.bomgar.com/ideas/BRS-I-129)
    3. Length of time not connected to the appliance (offline) before tagging as "Lost" (https://ideas.bomgar.com/ideas/BRS-I-129)
    4. Length of time a connected Jump Client remains available and installed on the machine <-- this one is what the current idea is referencing. Screen shot showing where this is configured when a JC is deployed in the Rep Console today:
