Add support for Nutanix AHV hypervisor

We have currently migrated our virtual environment to a Nutanix AHV cluster and Bomgar is currently the only application/server that is unable to be migrated due to no support for AHV. We are currently keeping our VMWare up and running just for Bomgar and it would be awesome if we could also migrate it off so that we can move away from our old Bladecenter and VMWare.

Thank you for the feedback and this is currently planned for this year and are actively working on this.

We are also migrating to Nutanix.
Any updates on this issue? We would really like to keep Bomgar. But if it's only supported on VMWare, I don't think we'll be able to.

We also use Bomgar, ended up having to build a Hyper-V host for Bomgar to reside on. Not perfect but it works. It is not a support configuration from Nutanix but our local engineer assisted with the setup. You do have to shutdown the Hyper-V during maintenance.

If that's all, seems like an easy fix for BeyondTrust to implement.

    Has anyone tried this?

"It looks like simply building in the VirtIO drivers into the boot image would make the appliance compatible. "

We've used Bomgar RS for years and have migrated our VM infrastructure to Nutanix. As we retire VMWare it would be nice to continue using Bomgar so please, urgently evaluation Nutanix and configure the application for usability within that hypervisor.

Will there be an update for this soon? We are migrating to AHV and would like to keep Bomgar.

Still no update after more than 1 year, we will consider going to Wallix

We too have migrated our environment to AHV.  Has there been any movement or response in this area?  We may be forced to move to an alternative product if AHV support is not added soon.

This appliance is one of the last virtual machines in our DMZ.  if AHV is not supported we will be moving products.

The notification for future consideration is all we have received since requesting it so I wouldn't hold your breath. We will be shutting down our bladecenter at the end of the year and if they haven't added support for it we will unfortunately be changing to an alternate product.

This was almost a no-go for us.

Same as the author, this is the only Appliance not supported in Acropolis in our systems.

We are crossing our fingers to have ahv support in less than 1 year.

This should be a fairly simple and quick change to allow this to work with AHV.  Please bump this up the chain to make it a priority :)

For more information on compatibility you can see the following article. It looks like simply building in the VirtIO drivers into the boot image would make the appliance compatible.  https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/kbs/details?targetId=kA032000000TTizCAG
