Frequently, I need to transfer large installation files to remote users. Pushing these files over VPN takes a very long time. I know my company is not alone in banning the use of sites like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc and I don't have access to FTP. It would be great to leverage the storage capacity of our Bomgar infrastructure to store files that could then be download much faster over the internet. I could access the portal from the remote session, put in my password to gain access to the store, then initiate the download. This would save loads of time.
Hi Adam, thank you for your feedback! Based on your description, it sounds like you could benefit from the new file size increase for canned script resource files (see here https://ideas.bomgar.com/ideas/BRS-I-155 if you're not familiar with it). Canned scripts are a great time saver when you have a task that needs to be performed on multiple machines, such as copying and even executing an installer.
If canned scripts aren't your fancy, another way that folks solve this is to setup a protected network share that you can access as a rep, and then specify that share as an acceptable path for the in-session File Transfer tool.
Feel free to reach out to our support team if you need help setting either of these up!
