We discovered during incident that we had multiple bomgar service entries. The cause of this behavior is still unknown, we suspect a antivirus scanner blocking the correct uninstall because of behavior analysis.
Correcting this issue on all clients would be a manual job to clean up all affected registry paths.
It would be nice if instead of a manual cleanup on install of an update the installer cleans out all remaining orphaned registry entries to fix this issue.
We have recently released a new feature that automatically removes Jump Clients that have not connected to the appliance in a long time. You can see more here: https://www.bomgar.com/docs/remote-support/updates/whats-new/jump-clients-automatic-maintenance-options.htm
