Deletion of machines should not be dependent on clients to acknowledge the deactivation first. Introduce capability to delete without acknowledgement. Typically recommendation should be to fist decommission systems in your network and once confirmed it is fully decommissioned, machine to be wiped from all platforms such as AD, endpoint protection, patch management, inventory system etc. With a machine being required on the network during activation this poses a risk that machines will not be fully removed while critical tools such as DefendPoint product is already in a deactivated state. Also this creates issues for machines where disks break or machines that are stolen. Automatic deactivation is not preferred to cover for cases such as maternity leave and long-term leave.
