Delayed Activation

Since this is an enterprise product, being able to install the Adapter then activate it later would help with deployments. This would allow enterprises to add the adapter into their imaging process and activate it later when the machine is ready to be deployed.


This will reduce machines that sit on a shell and become "deactivated" (AKA Deleted once Reactivation is added)

    Whilst the behavior does differ between adapters, I suspect this request is in reference to the PM Cloud adapter.

    In that instance, the adapter can be installed with its service in a disabled state, using the parameter: SERVICE_STARTUP_TYPE=Disabled

    This will prevent it from attempting to register immediately after being deployed. The service can then be started at an appropriate point post-deployment, to begin the registration process.
