The Product Ideas Portal lets you submit whatever product feedback you have, good, bad, ugly, and anywhere between.

Allow authentication to the Mac Directory Utility with AD groups

The ability to authenticate as a Domain User is not available when attempting to authenticate with the Directory Utility.  After entering an ID and password that is allowed to administrator the machine, the password prompt sits and then reverts back to asking for authentication.  When I use a local administrators account to authenticate, it works normally.  Would like to authenticate with an AD group to manage the Directory Utility in the future.

To reproduce:

Access System Preferences > Users and Groups > Click Lock to make changes > Click Yes on the prompt to confirm execution (PM Prompt) > Click "Edit" next to Network Account Server: > Click Open Directory Utility > Click the lock to make changes > Apple Prompt appears where one can only authenticate as a local administrator.
