My interpretation of this request is the ability to have multiple display options on the RDP sessions that are initialized from both the UI and Direct Connect. Native RDP sessions on either Server, VDI, or Workstation allows for multiple displays with multiple Start buttons/taskbars, not just spanning the displayed RDP sessions to multiple monitors. Essentially, this will give our end customers the ability to have multiple desktops running multiple applications. Please advise if this is in the roadmap and when.

Any update on this? Is it ever going to be possible? This is keeping us on using VPN technology instead of Bomgar for more and more contractors.

Hello Brian Chappell, in our organization we also have a need to keep the existing Microsoft RDP client user experience when using PAM.  With the Microsoft RDP client a user can span a single RDP session on multiple monitors with different resolution and monitor orientation; however, a single PAM RDP proxy session cannot utilize all monitors unless, they have the same resolution and monitor orientation.

Erik, Is the idea for a single session to span multiple monitors at your workstation? If so, this would be a limitation of your RDP client. If the idea is to support multiple monitors in the RDP session with the target then it would be useful to understand the use case for this and the business benefit this would realise for your organisation. Generally speaking, multiple monitor support is more applicable when interacting with a VDI environment, i.e., your desktop is virtualised away from your workstation. When working on a server for administrative activities, it's uncommon to find the need for multiple monitors - any context you can give would be great.

Matthew, admins are free to open mutliple RDP sessions to multi-task. I'd be interested to understand how multiple monitor support for RDP would help with multi-tasking on a single managed system.

This would be very useful for admins that multitask!
